Ms. Beatty's

Hello Everyone!  My name is Laura Beatty and I am the music teacher at Southwest Primary and Longview Elementary Schools.  This is my seventh year teaching and I am so excited to be doing music with these students!  I am a 2013 graduate of Greensboro College with a Bachelor of Music Education K-12, Choral emphasis.  I was a voice major with piano as secondary instrument.   I also play a little guitar, ukulele and recorder.  This summer I received my Level 1 Orff Certification at Appalachian State University.  I also serve as an e-leader for the district. In my free time, I enjoy working with Gaston School of the Arts in their musicals.

I currently live in Gastonia, NC and have 2 kittens, Sonny and Luna
