Music Room
At Southwest Primary Students come to music for 40 minutes once a week. There are two music teachers at Southwest, myself and Mrs. Stephens.
In music at Southwest we sing, dance, play instruments, and have fun! We use the Silver Burdett Making Music textbooks to learn songs, rhythms, and movements. In first grade, we follow the adventures of Freddie the Frog. In second grade we move on to having our own textbook and composing our own rhythmic and melodic pieces using drums and glockenspiels.
